Skywarn Activation Codes
Club members can activate the weather alert system on the 145.410 repeater using the following codes.
Key repeater and dial (Codes are only available by asking a club member in person, codes are NOT to be transmitted over the air)
XXX - Initiates the weather Alert
XXX - Ends the weather alert and returns the repeater back to normal operation
Skywarn Activation Policy
When you activate the Skywarn weather alert you are responsible for monitoring the frequency until the weather alert has ended or you have passed on to another operator.
Treat the Skywarn alert as a normal net. Take check in's and report back to the club at the next meeting. Be sure to announce yourself and take weather reports as you see fit.
